Overflowing passion ends up dragging us
The overflowing passion always ends up dragging us when we have clear goals and objectives. And this is the case of Jacques Olivar, lecturer of the International Masters in Fashion Photography.
Born in Casablanca and professional pilot, he used to move between planes and cameras until the sudden and unexpected success of the advertising campaign for “DIM” stocking, which won him the first prize at “Club Des Directeurs Artistiques”, this make him choose to what he really loves to do (he will receive this award several more times during his career).
Jacques Olivar has been working since 1987 with some of the most prestigious magazines, such as French and American Marie-Claire, British and German Vogue, l’Uomo Vogue, Vogue Hommes International... He also collaborates with several fashion designers by realizing theirs advertising campaigns, such as Giorgio Armani, Hermès , Comme des Garçons, Céline , Trussardi , Strenesse , Rykiel , etc. Emotion, elegance and beauty are the elements involved in Jacques Olivar’s photographic works.
The success of his personal touch is sophistication. Sophistication through a combination of simple elements, which are bundled together giving a wonderful and harmonious result but not supercilious or inaccessible. Faithful to his founding principles of humanity, his photography is sensible before being technique and, first, his modern character. But, above all, the result of casual elegance from women Jacques Olivar photographs (www.jacquesolivar.com).
