Álvaro de la Herrán is film director, writer, and editor; working on fashion films, advertisement, music videos, fiction projects and brand contents as well as, he is lecturer at the Masters in Fashion Photography, where he hold a Fashion Film workshop.
With background in photography, advertisement, film and music, he has a wide experience in the development of a variety of audio-visual formats and a transversal vision of communication.
His work brings with visual conceptualization, storytelling, attention to aesthetics and its meanings, the work with actors, and creation of soundtracks, with an elegant and fascinating impact. His personal aesthetic moves towards equilibrium between the emotional and symbolic, and has been presented in numerous festivals all over the world and organizations like the American Cinematheque Los Angeles, the Balenciaga Museum or Diane Pernet’s ASVOFF festival. In the early stages of new wave films in fashion, Álvaro has been a relevant creator, collaborating over the years with magazines like GQ, Vogue Italia and Elle. He also has filmed advertisement campaigns for agencies such as *S,C,P,F … McCANN and AirParis.
