There are cameras that let you see other dimension of your own space. Don’t you believe it?
Valentín Álvarez was with us a short while ago, Director of Photography, to hold a workshop for the students of the International Masters in Cinematography, in which they learnt how to use the high-speed cameras PHANTOM, which uncompress and lengthen the space-time.

Valentín Álvarez, teacher of the International Masters in Digital Cinematography of EFTI, is well known for his work as Director of Photography in ¿Cuánto pesa su edificio, señor Foster? (2010); nominated best Spanish documentary in the Goya Prizes in 2011(apart from awarded first prize at the Internationaal Documentaire Filmfestival von Leuven and selected like many others in Berlin, China or San Sebastián)
He also has worked as Director of Photography for Centro Histórico (2012), directed by Manoel de Oliveira, Víctor Erice, Pedro Costa and Aki Kaurismäki; and many others TV commercials for brands such as Calvo, Adidas, Canal+, Multiópticas or videoclips for Andrés Calamaro, Ana Belén, Sober or Miguel Bosé. Valentín Álvarez has been also light designer in theatre plays.
